I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that I will only have 1 strip next week, it will run next Wednesday, October 31st — which when you think about it, is not really all that bad considering that my posting schedule has become quite spotty over the last several weeks. I blame this on the books, collecting my Abel Boddy strips into their book form is a fulfilling yet time consuming process. But totally worth it in the long run.
But I digress. So, the good news is that even though there will only be 1 strip next week, that strip will be my 499th strip, which means, barring any heart attacks, car accidents or getting hit by chunks of blue ice falling from the sky, the next strip I draw will be #500.
Five Hundred.
When I started this comic strip way back when I don’t even think I thought getting to 500 would be possible. In fact, even now the number only makes sense when I see each strip on my book page layouts in Photoshop or when I pull out the stack of original artwork.
Anyhow, I just wanted to thank everyone for sticking around with me for 500 and hope to that you do for the next 500.
