What a glamorous life…
That was me yesterday morning, singing along to Audra McDonald’s version of Sondheim’s “Glamorous Life” when I should’ve been getting dressed and sitting down to get some work done. But it just wasn’t in the cards, I was unable to focus on anything in my apartment for longer than twenty minutes, so I went to The Museum of Sex to catch their “Comic Stripped” Exhibit on it’s last remaining days.
The exhibit was fun. As usual, even the more mediocre MOS shows are pretty creative. When I returned home, I took a nap and worked on the next four strips from 3-11 while enjoying a 30 Rock marathon on Netflix. I’m trying something new this year; I’m working on the next four strips at a time with the intent to run three of them the following week, if I only get three done, then I’ll run two the following week. If I get four done consistently, and build a nice little buffer, I may run four the following week. The plan came about when I was trying to figure out a way to have uninterrupted bouts of drawing, scanning and coloring and as much as I want to put up five a week, I find that it’s a more consistent experience for the reader if I ration out the strips a little.
So, expect two next week, one on Tuesday and one on Thursday.
